Description
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is the national association for regulatory agencies for nursing. NCSBN assists and supports boards of nursing to act together on matters of common interest and concern affecting public health, safety, and regulation. This includes the development of national nurse licensing examinations. Currently we are seeking an RN Content Associate for our E-Learning Productions Department, in Chicago.

Position oversees content development for online courses and serves as course instructor for the NCSBN NCLEX Review courses. Maintains the currency and accuracy of materials within NCSBN Learning Extension and NCSBN Interactive product lines. Writes, edits, and develops instructional design, assessments, exercises, and content for revisions of existing online courses. Recruits and provides editorial oversight for the work of subject matter experts. Assesses environmental conditions and conducts needs assessments. Serves as “Instructor” for NCSBN’s Reviews for the NCLEX Exams by answering content related questions via phone calls, e-mails, and discussion posts from students and school faculty. Implements programs to personalize online experience for learners. Provides support for content development for lifelong learning of NCSBN membership via NCSBN Interactive product line. Supports NCSBN organization-wide CE approval functions and on-going evaluation of networking, information sharing and education programs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
RN, Masters (or PhD) with three to five years clinical, RN and/or PN teaching, and professional writing and editing experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.  Online and instructional design experience preferred. Strong presentation, organizational, problem-solving, communication and customer service expertise with great attention to details and deadlines required. Flexibility, team player mentality and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Technical expertise must include MS Office, Internet, and familiarity of relational database queries.
