Resources for chapters, chapter philanthropic success stories

Philanthropy: Voluntarily giving financial or human resources to promote the common good.

The Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation for Nursing Board of Directors and its Chapter Philanthropy Education Committee are providing the following Chapter Philanthropy Resource Guide to assist chapters in developing and implementing their own philanthropy plan. We believe that philanthropy, as defined above, is something that all chapters can achieve no matter their size. The beauty of philanthropy is that it can be designed to fit your community’s needs and your members’ capabilities. We invite you to use the online resource to instill or refresh the spirit of philanthropy in your chapter and its members.

Chapter Spirit of Philanthropy Award  

The Chapter Spirit of Philanthropy Award is presented to chapters that contribute noteworthy amounts of time, talents, and/or funds to non-society-sponsored causes that advance the honor society's goals.  Projects portray a positive image of nursing, enhance the health and welfare of others, and exemplify and inspire the spirit of philanthropy.

Get recognized by the Sigma Theta Tau International Foundation for Nursing and share your experiences and member involvement strategies with other chapters!

Each month we will highlight a chapter that has demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy at the local or international level. A description of the project or activitiy with the members involved and photos will be featured on our webpage.
