Zynx Health and Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, Enter Strategic Evidence-Based Nursing Partnership
Los Angeles, CA and Indianapolis, IN – October 30, 2007 – Zynx Health, the leader in evidence-based healthcare, and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, today announced their strategic partnership to enhance the practice of evidence-based nursing.
The relationship provides a unique set of benefits to both Zynx Health clients and honor society members. Current and future Zynx clients will have access to a diverse array of resources from the honor society, including: a nurse manager training and certificate program; online continuing education tools to integrate evidence-based content into nursing workflow; information on building a hospital culture around evidence-based practice; specialized mentoring programs; and a variety of nursing-specific career development resources.
Honor society members in turn can license ZynxCare™, Zynx’s evidence-based decision support solution developed exclusively for nurses and the interdisciplinary care team. ZynxCare provides 140 customizable plans of care supported by evidence, bringing evidence-based knowledge to nurses where they need it, when they need it most—at the point of decision making.
“We are pleased to enter into this exciting partnership with Sigma Theta Tau International,” says Pat Button, director of nursing content for Zynx Health. “The consistency of vision of the two organizations provides a strong base for collaborative work to support the delivery of research and evidence to the bedside, thereby improving the quality and safety of care provided by nurses.”
“Evidence-based nursing is the foundation of professional nursing practice,” says Mary Rita Hurley, RN, MPA, and knowledge management officer of the honor society. The honor society is a leader in the development and dissemination of knowledge to improve nursing practice. “The strategic alliance between Zynx and the honor society enables our members to have immediate access to the latest evidence-based nursing approaches, which will lead to optimal nursing care.”
